We are seeking a Senior Legal & Compliance Counsel – a trusted advisor to provide proactive legal guidance and safeguard our operations against legal and regulatory risks.

You will work closely with teams across the organization, ensuring that our operations are not only compliant but forward-looking, enabling business growth with confidence.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Providing legal advice on insurance, corporate commercial, and other business activities of the Company.
  2. Advising and supporting on actual and potential contentious matters involving the Company.
  3. Ensuring communication and implementation of applicable policies and procedures within the department/business.
  4. Developing, maintaining, and revising policies and guidelines to ensure the Company complies with all necessary guidelines, regulations, and legislation.
  5. Staying abreast of industry developments and emerging trends, including the introduction of new products/services and their implications from a regulatory and compliance perspective.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. A minimum of 5 years of Legal and Compliance experience, with a legal background and relevant experience in the insurance industry.
  2. Experience with Singapore local legislations and regulatory requirements.
  3. A Bachelor's Degree.
  4. Excellent communication skills in English (oral and written).
  5. Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  6. Proven team player with the ability to work independently.
  7. The ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues across various functions, cultures, and backgrounds.
