**Job Description**
GREAT EASTERN - Operational Risk Lead PositionThis is a key role within the Risk Management Department for a strong candidate who can assist the Head of Department in overseeing and monitoring risk management activities. The successful individual will be responsible for coordinating departmental Risk & Control Self Assessments, reporting to senior management, and ensuring action plans are followed up on a monthly basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate RCSAs and control testing in the eGRC system.
- Report Loss Event and Key Risk Indicators to BNM.
- Ensure outstanding action plans are followed up on a timely basis.
- Manage and train business units' Department Risk Officers.
- Organise training on relevant risk management topics.
- Provide oversight and advisory on projects and third-party arrangements.
- Conduct periodic reviews on third-party arrangements.
- Ensure timely reporting to SMT, Group, BRMC, Board, and Shariah Committee.
Requirements:
- Tertiary education in Actuarial, Shariah, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent professional qualifications.
- Knowledge of actuarial, investment, risk management, insurance/takaful operations, or financial service operations.
- 6 to 8 years' experience in Risk Management, Compliance, Internal Audit, or business operations preferably in the insurance/takaful industry or other financial institutions.
