Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Coherent Corp. in Ipoh, Malaysia.

  • About the Role:
    In this position, you will be responsible for procuring materials and managing supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of products to meet customer demands.
  • Main Responsibilities:
    • Procurement Management:
      Manage the procurement process from initiation to delivery, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
    • Supplier Relationship Management:
      Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate competitive prices and ensure timely delivery of materials.
    • Inventory Control:
      Monitor and control inventory levels to prevent stockouts and overstocking, ensuring optimal inventory turnover ratios.
    • KPI Monitoring:
      Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cost savings, on-time delivery, and inventory turnover ratios to ensure alignment with company goals.
Requirements
  • Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience:
    5 years & above of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably in manufacturing or production environments.
  • Skills:
    Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and work effectively across teams.
