About the Role

As a Senior Data Migration Expert at Cognizant, you will act as a focal point between global, deployment and local teams. This involves applying global deployment methodology and managing risks/issues to ensure seamless data migrations.

Main Responsibilities
  • Aligns/plans other data-related requirements with Deployment Project Manager, DDMC and BDML.
  • Manages overall communications and provides weekly Data & ERP Readiness status reports.
  • Responsible to ensure that adequate resources are assigned for all data migration activities.
  • Escalates to IT and Business project management in case gaps are identified.
Data Migration Deliverables
  • Accountable for all data migration deliverables required for relevant program or project(s).
  • Accountable for overall data migration, cleansing and verification.
  • Defines global migration methods and tools to be used to prepare and load all data objects in scope.
  • Ensures that DM plans, activities and milestones are included within the overall project plan.
Collaboration
  • Aligns data migration plans and activities with IT and Business Project Managers
  • Including alignment with S/4HANA Platform Integration, TAD and IT project and integration managers to confirm availability of required test load systems and clients.
  • Oversees preparation and monitoring of data readiness rules.
