Your primary responsibility will be to manage the full set of accounts, including:

  1. Accounts Payable: Oversee the timely payment of invoices and reconcile any discrepancies.
  2. Accounts Receivable: Manage customer payments and ensure accurate recording of sales revenue.
  3. General Ledger: Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial transactions and maintain a clear audit trail.
  4. Month-End Closing Processes: Coordinate with teams to close out the month-end period, ensuring all financial statements are up-to-date and accurate.

You will also prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management review, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

In addition to these responsibilities, you will assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support the retail business's financial planning.

Analyze and track expenditures, identifying cost-saving opportunities where possible and monitoring adherence to budgets. Maintain the accounting system (ERP) and improve reporting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

We require the following qualifications:

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in full set accounting, preferably within the retail industry.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Familiarity with inventory management, cost accounting, and handling of retail transactions.
  • Good understanding of GST/SST regulations and other relevant tax laws.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible and open to handling new responsibilities as needed.
