Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Controls Specialist to join our team at Alcon. As a key member of our Automation & Control Engineering department, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development and maintenance of control systems for our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and direct technical support for automated equipment controls
  • Execute change control documentation to ensure control systems meet compliance standards
  • Gather requirements, create technical specifications, and design complex automation projects

In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement system support processes, configure control software, and maintain multiple environments. You will also manage and work with third-party automation and control development teams.

Requirements:
  • 8 years of experience for Diploma holders or 5 years for Degree holders
  • Middle level proficiency in SCADA (Allen Bradley) and integration with MES/ERP and/or equipment controls
  • Experience in industrial automation and control (PLC, HMI) and/or robotics and factory information systems (FIS, MES)
