Job Description

The Global Mobility Tax Manager- Malaysia will play a key role in reviewing and filing tax returns and related deliverables for globally mobile employees within designated deadlines. This includes offering specialized advice on tax planning, withholding responsibilities, and social security contributions.

The successful candidate will work closely with finance and HR departments to ensure precise calculation and reporting of payroll taxes and social security contributions. They will also educate and brief employees on their tax responsibilities and potential implications of international assignments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately review and file tax returns and related deliverables for globally mobile employees within designated deadlines.
  • Offer specialized advice on tax planning, withholding responsibilities, and social security contributions.
  • Analyze employee compensation and payroll data to accurately calculate tax liabilities and identify potential benefits.
  • Prepare supporting applications and documentation to optimize employees' tax positions.
  • Diligently maintain detailed tax records and documentation for accuracy and audit-readiness.
  • Stay informed on the latest developments in international tax laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree
  • Preferred Certification(s): CPA, ACCA, MICPA, Global Professional in Human Resources, Global Remuneration Professional, CTIM
  • Years of Experience: Minimum of 6 to 10 years experience
  • Work location: Kuala Lumpur/ Penang
