The Business Analyst Role

This role supports our business planning team in preparing and analyzing monthly management reports for various brands and countries. Key responsibilities include reviewing financial performance, variance analysis, and collaborating with the accounting team to ensure accuracy.

You will be responsible for coordinating budget timelines, preparing ad-hoc reports, and contributing to ongoing and new projects. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective collaboration are essential for maintaining and improving financial systems to support organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and assist in monthly management report by brand and country.
  • Review financial performance by performing profit and loss variance analysis against budget and prior year, trend analysis, and provide quality insights and commentaries.
  • Liaise and collaborate with the accounting team to reconcile, analyse, and ensure accuracy of overall monthly management report.
  • Ensure monthly management reports are correctly and timely prepared and published to brands/countries.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Finance and Accounting (Professional Qualification will be an added advantage).
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience, preferably commercial finance/business analysis experience in retail/FMCG industry.
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Strong written, verbal, and collaboration skills.
  • Able to multitask, proactive, work under pressure, and deliver within tight deadlines.
