Nationgate Solution (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Director to lead our procurement function and drive business growth.

Job Summary:

The Procurement Director will be responsible for overseeing the procurement process, ensuring compliance with company policies and strategies, and driving process improvements to enhance quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and Implement Procurement Strategies: Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's business objectives and ensure the smooth operation of material and service supply.
  2. Lead the Procurement Team: Lead and manage the procurement team to achieve mid-term plans and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  3. Procurement Process Improvement: Review and update procurement processes to enhance quality compliance and efficiency.
  4. Supplier Management: Monitor, review, and analyze bids and quotes from suppliers, including negotiation of service agreements and contracts.
  5. Guidance and Support: Provide guidance and support to buyers as required to ensure the purchasing function is executed effectively.
  6. Process Optimization: Regularly review and improve the purchasing process through the use of information technology.
  7. Risk Management: Analyze specific risks and market conditions that arise throughout business operations and take necessary precautions to avert issues or potential losses.
  8. Procurement Objectives: Establish procurement objectives that are consistent with operations, material, and program management objectives, and measure/evaluate procurement performance.
  9. Strategic Procurement Planning: Develop strategic procurement plans based on forecasts from sales and/or production control.
  10. Inventory Management: Optimize the level of purchase volume to avoid huge excess impacts on inventory holding costs.

Requirements:

  • Education: Degree in Electrical & Electronic or relevant field.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of working experience in managing operations, procurement, or quality assurance.
  • Skills: Data analysis and statistical skills, good interpersonal skills, including presentation skills.
