Job Description
  • Maintenance Management

The O&M Technician will assist engineers in managing scheduling and arrangements for corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance of C&I and residential solar PV systems. This includes ensuring efficient site visits, initiating fault diagnosis, and implementing corrective actions in accordance with the Service Level Agreement.

Permit Coordination

The successful candidate will handle the application process for Permits to Work (PTW) and other site access requirements to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Tech Supervision

The O&M Technician will supervise and review maintenance activities performed by technicians and contractors, ensuring adherence to approved standards, procedures, and specifications.

Performance Monitoring

Monitoring system performance by conducting analyses of system generation and providing summaries of findings to assess overall system performance.

HSE Compliance

Ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations and best practices, including conducting risk assessments and preparing Method of Statement documents for specific maintenance tasks.

Effective Communication

Communicating effectively with supervisors, technicians, Solarvest staff, contractors, suppliers, and clients throughout the Defects Liability Period (DLP) and service warranty phases.

Documentation and Records

Establishing effective communication channels and maintaining proper documentation and related records as required.

Vendor Management

Overseeing the processing of quotations, invoices, purchase orders (PO), work orders (WO), delivery orders (DO), and payment statuses for registered vendors.

Report Preparation

Assisting engineers in report preparation, including Inspection Reports, Preventive Maintenance Reports, Corrective Maintenance Reports, and warranty claim reports for equipment such as inverters, PV modules, and data loggers.

Asset Management

Managing and maintaining assigned company vehicles (if applicable) and overseeing the inventory of spare parts, tools, and other essential assets.

Tool and Equipment Checks

Assisting Engineers with conducting monthly checks on tools, personal protective equipment (PPE), machinery, and van inventory to ensure sufficiency and compliance.

Additional Support

Assisting Engineers with specific tasks as requested to support overall project and maintenance objectives.
