The National Instruments Semiconductor Business Unit (BU) Customer Centric Solution (CCS) team is seeking to hire an experienced Electronics Engineer to work on the customer engineering opportunities that enable the sale of standard NI products.

About the Role
  • Collaborate with NI customers, sales personnel, engineering, and alliance partners to define, document, design, and deploy NI products tailored to meet specific customer requirements for large scale turnkey engineering solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with a wide variety of NI staff and NI Alliance partners in semiconductor test engineering, test program structure, hardware design, and fixture design in support of customer solutions.
  • Develop and maintain requirements documents that can be used to finalize statements of work.
  • Implement project plans, lead project achievements, and hold reviews to ensure meeting requirements and readiness for deployments.
  • Understand and validate analog and digital circuits covering signal interconnect and data communication protocol based on Device Under Test requirements.
  • Participate in the creation of coordinated NI modular hardware into a turnkey test system based on test requirements.
  • Evaluate coordinated hardware on system reliability, testing accuracy, and total system cost of test.
  • A knowledge of RF-related concepts is beneficial.
  • Travel domestically and abroad in support of opportunities and projects (~20%).
  • Resolve NI system issues at customer sites to meet stability and reliability expectations.
  • Collaborate with customers and contract manufacturers to improve NI tester performance.
  • Provide timely support for urgent NI system issues at customer sites during projects.
  • Offer mentorship and support for NI system operation at customer sites.
