Job Overview

Oxydata Software is seeking an experienced Data Platform Innovation Leader to stabilize and innovate the platform and services that will improve our customers' and business stakeholders' experience as well as scale our systems as our customer-base continues to grow.

About You

We are looking for a highly skilled IT professional with extensive experience in managing infrastructure operations, data centre management, cloud technologies, and big data platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of driving and delivering consistent and constant service improvements, excellent vendor and supplier management skills, and the ability to build relationships at all levels within the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the technical aspects of the platform and work closely with application, architecture, and delivery teams to ensure the needs of our business problems are clearly understood and effectively addressed.
  • Innovate, modernize, and proactively monitor IT Core infrastructure performance, maintenance, support, and infrastructure capacity planning.
  • Take end-to-end ownership in the management of multiple big data and database platform technologies, orchestrations tooling, and runtimes.
  • Train, guide, and grow other team members on a continuous basis to have a sustainable resource plan.
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure Big Data Storage Platform performance, team performance, and evolve metrics on an ongoing basis.
  • Develop and implement a roadmap and strategy for the Data Platform with a focus on regional and non-regional platforms, technological focus on Teradata (with Vantage) / Oracle / Big Data Platforms (Open Source, Commodity, and BDA), and object storage.
  • Maintain platform security with data at rest and in motion, including maintaining UAM and appropriate controls on personally identifiable information (PII).
  • Ensure the execution of technology/product roadmaps with top-quality and clear service level agreements (SLAs).
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Knowledge of IT Service Management frameworks and the management of IT Services.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of ITIL.
  • At least 10 years of experience as a manager of infrastructure operation teams.
  • At least 8 years of experience in infrastructure operations, Teradata, Hadoop, and other big data technologies, data centre management, cloud technologies, and management, PySpark/Spark, Kubernetes, and S3.
  • A proven track record of driving and delivering consistent and constant service improvements.
  • Vendor and supplier management skills.
  • The ability to build relationships at all levels within the organization.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to changing demands.
  • The ability to influence and communicate complex technical information in a non-technical way.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
