At Vinarco International, we are seeking a highly experienced Senior QA/QC Engineer to lead our quality assurance efforts on a major onshore gas plant project. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with project specifications and contract requirements, as well as implementing our quality plan across construction sites.

Key Responsibilities

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring non-conformances and ensuring that corrective actions are taken promptly to close NCRs.
  • Participating in audits conducted by the contractor and the company, and following up on audit findings.
  • Coordinating with internal teams on QA/QC-related interfaces.
  • Supervising inspectors' activities and providing guidance and mentoring as necessary.
  • Monitoring the contractor's QA/QC performance and addressing quality issues.
  • Liaising with the QA/QC Team Leader on all quality issues and reporting on the contractor's quality performance.
  • Following up and verifying As Built and Final documentation.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Production, Welding, Metallurgy Engineering, or a related field.
  • Over 20 years' experience in QA/QC within oil and gas construction projects, including 10 years in onshore gas plants, refineries, or petrochemical units.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a Lead QA/QC role, with experience in projects involving high H2S (sour service environment).
  • Extensive background in welding, fabrication techniques, NDT, and blasting/painting for onshore gas plants, refineries, or petrochemical units.
  • Proficient in RT, UT, PT, and MPI non-destructive testing methods, with the ability to interpret radiographs and witness these tests.
  • Certified ASNT Level II in RT and UT, and holds a Welding Inspector certification such as CSWIP 3.2 or AWS SCWI.
  • Certified Lead Auditor to ISO 9001:2015, recognised by IRCA.
  • Familiar with international standards like AWS D1.1, ASME B31.3, ASME Section IX, MR 0175, among others.
  • Competent in interpreting weld symbols, fabrication drawings, and isometric drawings.
  • NACE Certified Coating Inspector Level II, with excellent communication, coordination, and organisational skills.
