Job Description

The School Head of Multilingualism will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing the school's multilingualism vision and language policy in collaboration with other stakeholders.
  • Leading and coordinating the development of language profiles for new students and assessing their baseline language proficiency.
  • Collaborating with teachers and other staff members to provide language support and instruction to students.
  • Designing and facilitating language learning across the curriculum.
  • Tracking progress of EAL students and reporting on progress.

The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in education and/or a recognized language-related postgraduate teaching qualification or equivalent. They will also have at least 5 years of teaching experience within a recognized educational organization, ideally internationally.

A CELTA/TEFL certification qualification is an added advantage, as is experience of successful coordination or middle leadership within a school context. The ideal candidate will be familiar with and experienced in working with the school's curriculum, whether national, UK, USA, IPC, IB, or other.
