We are seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the role of Safety Director, responsible for leading our Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) efforts globally.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in SHE leadership and will be responsible for deploying, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive safety programs aligned with global SCJ standards. This includes policies, procedures, and training programs that meet country-specific requirements.
The Safety Director will conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and assess risks. They will also investigate accidents and incidents, determining root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions to minimize future occurrences.
Key responsibilities include ensuring adequacy and delivering safety training programs, planning and developing the SHE organization's capability to meet the needs of plants in the region, and promoting a strong safety culture through employee participation, feedback, and ownership of safety initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Fire Protection, or related discipline, and a proven track record in progressively increasing SHE leadership responsibility in a global manufacturing organization.
A strong understanding of current safety and health technologies and processes is essential, including ergonomics risk assessments, industrial hygiene exposure assessments, electrical arc flash hazard analyses, and machine safety design principles.
