Apollo Food Industries is seeking a highly experienced Operations Director to lead our factory operations, driving efficiency, productivity, and quality standards. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of production, maintenance, and warehouse management, ensuring seamless factory operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Overall Factory Operations Management: Oversee production, maintenance, and warehouse activities to ensure efficient and smooth factory operations.
  2. Culture Development: Foster a collaborative and performance-driven culture across departments to achieve operational goals.
  3. Progress Meetings: Regularly meet with managers to discuss progress, resolve challenges, and provide guidance for departmental improvement.
  4. Safety and Quality Assurance: Ensure employees receive adequate training in safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
Operations & Production Management:
  1. Production Activities Oversight: Oversee production activities to ensure timely and efficient manufacturing of products.
  2. Resource Utilization Optimization: Optimize resource utilization to improve production output and minimize waste.
  3. NPI and Process Scalability Initiatives: Lead new product introduction (NPI) and process scalability initiatives.
Maintenance & Equipment Efficiency:
  1. Maintenance Team Leadership: Lead the maintenance team to ensure all machinery and equipment operate at optimal levels.
  2. Preventive Maintenance Programs: Implement preventive maintenance programs to reduce operational disruptions and enhance equipment reliability.
  3. Maintenance Protocols Development: Develop and enforce maintenance protocols to reduce costs and improve asset life cycles.
Warehouse & Inventory Management:
  1. Warehouse Operations Oversight: Oversee warehouse operations and ensure safe and effective inventory control, handling, and distribution of materials and products to support production and sales.
  2. Collaboration with Planning, Procurement, and Logistics Teams: Collaborate with Planning, Procurement, and Logistics teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and spare parts.
Strategic Planning & Continuous Improvement:
  1. Operational Strategies Development: Collaborate with the COO and other senior leaders to develop and implement operational strategies that align with business goals.
  2. Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Drive continuous improvement initiatives, incorporating Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies to increase productivity and reduce waste across production, warehouse, and maintenance operations.
  3. KPIs Implementation and Tracking: Implement and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
Compliance & Safety:
  1. Workplace Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and manufacturing industry standards.
  2. Safety Practices Enforcement: Enforce safety practices to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
Continuous Improvement & Operational Modernization:
  1. Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Drive continuous improvement initiatives in operations to enhance efficiency, optimize layouts, and improve equipment performance.
  2. Factory Modernization Projects: Lead modernization projects to enhance factory operations and improve competitiveness.
Reporting & Coordination:
  1. Operational Performance Reporting: Provide regular reports on operational performance, including production, maintenance, and inventory management, to senior management.
  2. Interdepartmental Coordination: Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless factory operations.
Qualifications & Preferred Skills:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Food Science, or a related field. Master's Degree in a relevant field is an added advantage. Certifications in maintenance management or Lean Manufacturing are a plus.

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a managerial role overseeing operations, production, maintenance, and warehouse.
  • Experience in operational modernization and process optimization is a strong advantage.

Required Skills:

  • Strong expertise in operations management, production, maintenance, and supply chain.
  • Proven leadership skills in managing cross-functional operational teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on efficiency and cost control.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for team management and cross-department coordination.
  • Knowledge of safety and compliance in manufacturing operations (workplace safety, regulatory standards).
