Job Overview

The editor's role is to ensure timely, accurate, well-written and presented work for VANTAGE clients.

  • Coordinate with research teams to manage due diligence work under the VANTAGE programme, handling multiple reports with tight deadlines while maintaining high quality at a fast turnaround rate.
  • Edit, format and provide critical feedback on VANTAGE reports produced by research teams, adapting content for methodological consistency.
  • Ensure reports are written in a current standard or client-specific template, referencing SharePoint and Knowledge Management channels.
  • Compare risk ratings and report level scope across jurisdictions within each programme for consistency and comparability.
  • Liaise with research teams to ensure online content is regularly reviewed and updated, keeping records of progress using SharePoint tracking.
  • Contribute to the development of the VANTAGE product, improving readability for online output and reports through graphics.
Key Responsibilities

Essential requirements include:

  • Education to degree level in English or media studies.
  • Native or equivalent fluency in English and excellent written skills.
  • Demonstrated excellence in proofreading and copy editing to house style.
  • Proven experience working on multiple editorial projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to maintain clear lines of communication on deliverables.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-turnaround environment.
  • Knowledge of research techniques, databases, archives and general internet.
  • MS Office proficiency and ability to use editorial software.

Prior experience in an editorial position, knowledge of DTP/graphics packages, experience with content management systems and ability to edit in regional languages are preferred.
