Job Summary

eMerge ITS is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Virtual Chief Financial Officer (VCFO) to join their growing team.

As the VCFO, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health and stability of our organization, overseeing all aspects of our finance function, including bookkeeping, financial reporting, and analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Financial Management: Manage all day-to-day accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll processing.
  2. Financial Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using a cloud-based accounting platform like Xero, and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  3. Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, develop forecasts, and create insightful reports for management.
  4. Internal Controls: Oversee internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  5. Strategic Financial Advice: Work closely with the CEO and other members of the leadership team to provide strategic financial advice and support business decision-making.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field (CPA designation a plus).
  2. Minimum of 8 years of experience in a senior finance or accounting role.
  3. Proven experience using cloud-based accounting platforms like Xero.
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  6. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
  7. Previous experience at a managed IT services company is a plus.
  8. Extremely proficient in Excel and highly proficient in Word & PowerPoint.
