Position: Head of Finance, Malaysia

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all Finance and Tax functions in Malaysia
  • Oversee Financial Control, regulatory reporting, and coordination with Product Control, Business Finance, and Tax teams regionally
  • Accounting, month-end close, annual audit finalization, and regulatory reporting for Bank of America's legal entities in Malaysia
  • Submission of data to regional reporting teams for US GAAP consolidation
  • Management Reporting and variance analysis
  • Budgeting and Forecasting
  • Monitoring and supervising reporting requirements and system implementation
  • Leading Finance Transformation
  • Closely work with Corporate Treasury on capital and liquidity ratios as required by local regulators
  • Collaborate with global teams on risk and capital forecasting

Requirements:

  • Strong Team Management and Interpersonal skills with ability to influence key stakeholders
  • Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments with adaptability to changing business needs
  • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and minimal supervision
  • Flexibility to adjust to new requirements and priorities
  • Qualified accountant with experience in Financials, Regulatory reporting, Management accounting, financial analysis & planning, and Tax matters preferably in multinational environments such as Local and Foreign Banks, Audit firms, etc.
  • Knowledge of IFRS, Central bank regulations, Regulatory reporting, and Tax matters
  • Proficiency in Excel and exposure to systems like Oracle, SAP, etc.
  • Problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, strong work ethic, and multi-tasking skills
  • Organizational, written, verbal communication, and facilitation skills
  • Leadership and project management skills
