Main Job Responsibilities
  • Design and execute comprehensive Financial Reporting services tailored to meet the unique needs of our clients.
  • Nurture robust relationships with colleagues to ensure seamless collaboration and mutual support.
  • Offer expert guidance and mentorship to junior team members, empowering them to excel in their roles.
  • Support mission-critical Financial Reporting tasks as required.
Main Job Objectives:Main Responsibilities:
  • Efficiently process Financial Reporting transactions with precision, speed, and reliability.
  • Thoroughly analyze accounting data, establishing trends, forecasts, and recommendations.
  • Investigate discrepancies and irregularities in Financial Reporting results and initiate corrective actions.
  • Oversee the creation of highly accurate and timely financial statements for BASF businesses throughout the Asia Pacific region.
  • Resolve complex problems impacting Financial Reporting functionality.
  • Transfer knowledge and expertise within the team to enhance productivity and effectiveness.
  • Adopt new responsibilities as needed or assigned.
Internal Control Measures:
  • Collaborate with auditors and regulatory bodies to maintain and enhance our internal controls.
  • Periodically review and update documentation related to Financial Reporting processes.
Development Initiatives:
  • Continuously explore opportunities for improvement in Financial Reporting processes.
  • Drive strategic initiatives for enhancing financial operations using advanced technologies and methodologies.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams and lead regional initiatives focusing on growth and development.
Intellectual Property Development:
  • Develop, maintain, and update comprehensive training modules for Financial Reporting courses.
  • Support senior management in making informed decisions regarding financial strategy.
  • Improve the documentation of key procedures and decision-making protocols.
  • Expertly convey complex concepts to diverse audiences and inspire knowledge-sharing throughout the organization.
  • Actively engage in lifelong learning, reinforcing technical expertise and sharing insights with colleagues.
Frequent Communication and Networking:
  • Nurture partnerships with peers, vendors, and contractors.
  • Establish long-term relationships with industry leaders and experts.
  • Deepen connections with the Corporate Finance unit, the Global Financial Reporting function, and other key departments.
Level of Supervision:
  • Independently manage workload with occasional oversight from senior colleagues.
Qualifications and Certifications:
  • A university degree in finance, accounting, or business, or a recognized certification such as a certified public accountant.
Professional Experience:
  • A minimum of three years of experience in Financial Reporting, accounting, or a related field. Individuals with fewer years of experience can be considered if they demonstrate strong skills and potential.
  • Experience working with enterprise software platforms such as SAP is highly beneficial.
  • Familiarity with multilingual environments and ability to adapt quickly to changing situations.
Technical Skills:
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting theories and practices.
  • Competence in MS Office applications and ability to learn new tools quickly.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clear and concise expression of complex ideas.
