About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Senior Accounts Executive to join our team at User Experience Researchers Pte Ltd. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for handling a full set of accounts, including passing journals, performing bank reconciliation, preparing Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet statements, and maintaining fixed assets registers and general ledger.

Responsibilities
  1. Financial Management: Handle a full set of accounts, including passing journals, performing bank reconciliation, preparing Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet statements, and maintaining fixed assets registers and general ledger.
  2. Reporting and Analysis: Assist in monthly accounting reports, month-end and year-end closings, and provide analysis and insights to inform business decisions.
  3. Bank Operations: Perform monthly bank reconciliations for all bank accounts and ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.
  4. Data Maintenance: Support day-to-day accounting operations, perform data entries, and ensure all the accounting records are properly updated and reconciled.
  5. Billing and Collections: Assist in billing, invoicing, and collection (account receivables) and coordinate with project teams/ sales teams on invoicing/ collection matters.
  6. Expense Tracking: Keep track of all monthly payments and expenditures, including vendor invoices (accounts payable).
  7. Petty Cash and Expenses: Monitor and manage petty cash reimbursements, staff expense claims, and process payments.
  8. Tax Compliance: Prepare and file GST and other report submissions.
  9. Compliance and Audits: Assist to liaise with bankers, tax agents, and auditors, and also support tax and audit requirements by preparing reconciliations and necessary schedules.
  10. Internal Controls: Ensure all accounting systems, practices, controls, and procedures are fully compliant with company policy and government regulations.
  11. Ad-Hoc Tasks: Assist in any ad-hoc tasks as required.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  1. A Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
  2. At least 2 Year(s) of working experience in the related field.
  3. Proficient in MS Office & QuickBooks accounting software.
  4. Strong background in Singapore Accounting and regulatory compliance.
  5. Experience working in an IT company is a plus.
  6. Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
  7. Self-discipline, meticulous, attentive, and willing to learn.
  8. Prefer Malaysian (Johor Bahru Malaysia), work remotely, need to be in the office when needed.
