The Role

We are seeking a seasoned Financial Regulations Specialist to join our Tax team in Johor Bahru as a Tax Manager / Senior Tax Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor, providing expert insights on financial regulations, corporate governance, and risk management.
  • Stay updated on the latest regulatory changes and industry best practices to ensure compliance and high-quality service.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, delivering tailored solutions that drive business success.
  • Lead and collaborate with professionals across sub-service lines to provide comprehensive services.
  • Oversight of compliance teams, forecasting, delegating, and managing tasks efficiently.
  • Drive team growth and development, sharing knowledge, mentoring peers, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field and/or recognized professional accounting qualification (CPA, CA, ACCA, etc.).
  • Member of a professional accounting body.
  • Strong command of English (written & spoken).
  • Expertise in financial regulations, corporate governance, and risk management.
  • Proven ability to manage complex assignments and deliver high-impact solutions.
  • Tech-savvy with financial software and strong problem-solving, leadership, and management skills.
  • A self-motivated team player with high integrity and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Minimum of 5 years (Manager) / 8 years (Senior Manager) of relevant experience, with at least 3 years of managerial experience.
