As their business continues to expand aggressively, they are seeking an experienced Operations Director to join their management team and drive their business forward. This role will be based in Sarawak.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee plant operations, focusing on production output, supply chain management, quality control, capacity targets, engineering, and planning.
  • Monitor the performance of various departments under your care through systematic data collection and analysis.
  • Develop and execute action plans for continuous improvements, driving efficiency and productivity.
  • Plan and implement CAPEX projects to align with corporate and business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, health, safety, security, and environmental (HSSE) standards, as well as ISO standards.
  • Implement the group's mission, vision, and core values across the organization.
The Ideal Candidate

This role is critical to the organization's success, and the successful applicant will be leading a team of close to 2000 employees. To be considered, you must have a proven track record of delivery and experience in the manufacturing industry.

Requirements:

  • Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum 20 years of experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • Prior experience in heavy manufacturing or high-volume, low-mix manufacturing processes.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience in driving Health, Safety, and Environment initiatives.
  • Must be a Malaysian citizen.
