We are seeking a highly experienced Risk and Compliance Officer to join our team at StashAway. As a key member of our Operations department, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with financial regulations, risk management policies, and internal controls.

About the Role:

  • Lead and manage a small team responsible for banking operations, ensuring high performance and efficiency.
  • Oversee daily banking operations, including reviewing and approving fund transfers, and monitoring clients' deposits and withdrawals (includes Suspicious Transaction Monitoring) for multiple regions.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, risk management policies, and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a point of escalation for operational challenges and provide effective solutions.
  • Work closely with banking and broker partners, fund managers, payment processors, and internal teams to resolve operational issues.
  • Support audits, regulatory reporting, and risk assessments related to banking operations.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in banking operations, brokerage process, payment processing, or fintech operations.
  • Prior experience in one or more of the following areas would be a bonus: banking processes, financial regulations, risk and compliance, treasury, cash operations, trade settlement, audit.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing a small to mid-sized team.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English is essential for effective interaction with internal and external stakeholders through various channels.
