About the Role:

This role is perfect for someone who has a strong background in occupational health and safety, environmental science, or a related field. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic and forward-thinking organization that values innovation, growth, and employee development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive SHE policies and procedures.
  • Manage the SHE Committee and facilitate regular meetings.
  • Conduct and coordinate risk assessments, routine safety and environmental audits and assessments.
  • Lead and coordinate incident investigations and ensure timely closure of incident reports with corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure compliance with Company and legal SHE regulations and stay updated on relevant amendments.
  • Develop, coordinate, and conduct SHE training matrix and programs for employees at all levels.
  • Promote a culture of safety, health, and environmental awareness within the organization.
  • Monitor and analyze SHE performance metrics and provide reports to senior management.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure timely submission of required reports.
  • Oversee the maintenance and replenishment of safety equipment and supplies.
  • Liaise with Mondi HQ for the latest best practices and requirements.
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate SHE considerations into business operations.

Requirements:

  • Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Relevant certification by DOSH/NIOSH will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a SHE management role.
  • In-depth knowledge of SHE legal requirements and relevant ICOPs.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to conduct training sessions and presentations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
