As a Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) Officer with Talent Recruit, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing SHE programs that ensure the safety and well-being of our client's employees, customers, and the environment. You will work closely with the SHE Committee to develop and implement comprehensive SHE policies and procedures, conduct risk assessments, lead incident investigations, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
About the Role:
This role is perfect for someone who has a strong background in occupational health and safety, environmental science, or a related field. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic and forward-thinking organization that values innovation, growth, and employee development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive SHE policies and procedures.
- Manage the SHE Committee and facilitate regular meetings.
- Conduct and coordinate risk assessments, routine safety and environmental audits and assessments.
- Lead and coordinate incident investigations and ensure timely closure of incident reports with corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure compliance with Company and legal SHE regulations and stay updated on relevant amendments.
- Develop, coordinate, and conduct SHE training matrix and programs for employees at all levels.
- Promote a culture of safety, health, and environmental awareness within the organization.
- Monitor and analyze SHE performance metrics and provide reports to senior management.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure timely submission of required reports.
- Oversee the maintenance and replenishment of safety equipment and supplies.
- Liaise with Mondi HQ for the latest best practices and requirements.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate SHE considerations into business operations.
Requirements:
- Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Relevant certification by DOSH/NIOSH will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a SHE management role.
- In-depth knowledge of SHE legal requirements and relevant ICOPs.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to conduct training sessions and presentations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
