Key Responsibilities of the Corporate Governance Paralegal Role

We are actively seeking a Corporate Governance Paralegal to support our international financial services clients. This role involves providing critical support for our clients' corporate secretarial and governance needs, including managing corporate secretarial and governance documentation and overseeing associated matters and filings for companies in overseas common law jurisdictions.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a flexible environment, with some positions allowing remote work or a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities and Key Qualifications
  • Manage corporate secretarial and governance documentation and oversee associated matters and filings for companies in overseas common law jurisdictions.
  • Research and stay updated on relevant regulations, laws, and industry practices.
  • Support the legal team in ensuring compliance with local and global banking laws and regulations.
  • Participate in due diligence processes, including AML/KYC and regulatory inquiries or investigations.
  • Organise and maintain corporate administrative documentation, ensuring accurate records and files.
  • Provide administrative support to the legal department as required.
  • Coordinate with external counsel and legal partners.
Key Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a corporate paralegal or company secretarial role, preferably with exposure to the banking and finance sector.
  • A solid understanding of banking and finance law and regulations.
