Key Responsibilities:

  • The Registered Nurse - Community is accountable to and works under the general direction and guidance of the Nurse Unit Manager/Team Leader and/or Clinical Coordinator/Clinical Nurse Consultant/Clinical Nurse Specialist.

About the Role:

  • The successful applicant will be responsible for initiating, implementing, and evaluating quality nursing care, working closely with senior experienced Registered Nurses and health professionals.

Hospital Information:

  • The George Town District Hospital provides 15 acute care beds, physiotherapy, dental and podiatry services, and other visiting providers. Additional services include Palliative care, Community Nursing, Home Help/Personal Care.
  • Nursing quarters are available on site, offering shared kitchen and bathroom amenities for staff to utilise.

Work Details:

  • This is a permanent part-time day worker position, requiring 16 hours per fortnight. The successful applicant will have some flexibility to negotiate their working hours.

Remuneration:

  • The salary for this role ranges from $78,179 to $105,995 per annum (pro rata), with an additional Employer contribution of 11.5% superannuation.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • The successful applicant must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
  • A current Driver's Licence is also required for this role.
