Minde Group, a leading recruitment company, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Design Engineer - Tooling Specialist to join our team. This individual will be responsible for designing and developing plastic injection molds used to produce high-quality plastic parts.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the design and development of plastic injection molds used to produce high-quality plastic parts.
  2. Create detailed 3D models and technical drawings of molds using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
  3. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to optimize mold designs for manufacturability, ensuring efficiency in the injection molding process.
  4. Review and improve existing mold designs to enhance cycle time, reduce defects, and improve overall product quality.
  5. Conduct mold flow analysis and other simulations to predict and prevent molding defects such as warping, sink marks, or voids.
  6. Work with resin suppliers to ensure the correct material is selected for the tooling application.
  7. Oversee mold fabrication, assembly, and testing to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
  8. Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior design engineers in the tooling department.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Tooling Design, or a related field.
  2. At least 5 years of experience in plastic injection molding tooling design.
  3. Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar for mold design.
  4. Strong knowledge of injection molding processes, tooling materials, and various types of resin.
  5. Experience with mold flow analysis tools to predict molding behavior and optimize designs.
  6. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and improve mold performance.
  7. Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

This position is suited for an experienced engineer with a strong background in plastic injection molding tooling, ready to lead innovative projects in a dynamic and growth-focused environment.
