About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Test Automation Engineer to join our team at Qashier Pte Ltd. As a Test Automation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our growth by designing, developing, and executing automation scripts to ensure the quality of our smart point-of-sale solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and develop automation scripts to test our software applications
  2. Identify, record, and document bugs thoroughly, and track them to ensure timely resolution
  3. Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved to ensure stability and reliability
  4. Liaise with internal teams, including developers and product managers, to identify system requirements and ensure seamless integration
  5. Investigate causes of issues and bugs with engineers to resolve them efficiently
  6. Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs and ensure high-quality deliverables
  7. Track quality assurance metrics and provide feedback to improve processes and outcomes
  8. Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies to ensure our solutions remain cutting-edge
Requirements
  1. BS/MS degree in Computer Science or a related field
  2. At least 3 years of experience in automated testing for UI (Android, iOS, and Web) or API using JavaScript, Python, or Java; JavaScript is preferred
  3. Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
  4. Strong knowledge of writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
  5. Hands-on experience with automated testing tools such as Cypress, Appium, Selenium, or Pytest, etc.
  6. Passionate about writing testing cases and learning new technologies
Preferred Skills
  1. Experience in software development
  2. Experience with building automation platforms
  3. Experience in improving processes to enhance software quality
  4. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and ability to integrate with automation tools
  5. Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  6. Experience with Agile/Scrum development processes
