As an Assistant Controller at Starcom Melbourne, you will play a critical role in supporting the controller in overseeing the financial operations of the company. Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the controller in managing the onboarding process for new suppliers and clients, including setting up their accounts and ensuring they are properly integrated into our systems.
  • Collaborate with our revenue recognition team to ensure accurate accounting and reconciliation of WIP accounts.
  • Work closely with our Media/Operations teams to resolve any supplier invoice discrepancies.
  • Assist in monitoring and analyzing jobs, ensuring timely closure and resolution of any issues that may arise.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting, with a Diploma in Finance/Accounting or qualified professional certification.
  • Prior hands-on experience in accounting or accounts receivables/billing operations for the media industry is an advantage, but not mandatory as training would be provided.
  • Strong numerical skills and intermediate-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and v-lookups.
  • Analytical, meticulous, and able to learn quickly, with a positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
