About the Role

This position involves performing maintenance, repairs, and upgrades on utility equipment, including electric substation equipment and high-voltage (11KV) equipment.

The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of electrical systems and installations and be able to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and bylaws.

  • Conduct regular inspections of substations, generators, switchboards, and distribution boards.
  • Respond to electrical & mechanical breakdowns and perform troubleshooting tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment performance and maintenance activities.

We require applicants with SPM/SPVM or equivalent qualifications and a Chargeman (B0) certificate is an added advantage.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain utility equipment, including electric substation equipment and high-voltage (11KV) equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and bylaws.
  • Respond to electrical & mechanical breakdowns and perform troubleshooting tasks.
  • Supervise technicians, wiremen, vendors, and contractors.

The successful candidate will be able to fulfill all HT chargeman duties as specified by Suruhanjaya Tenaga and the Electricity Supply Act 1990 (Act 447) and Energy Commission Act 2001.
