Machinist (CNC)

Interpret engineering drawing and geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T) -To execute the machining operation as per routing -To machine the part as per engineering drawing -To perform set up and operate multiple types of CNC machine (especially VTC ,WFL others Mazak, HBM, Okuma) -Able to operate 2 or more machines simultaneously (1 man 2 or 3 machines). -Participate in product value stream lead time & product cost reduction program. -Actively lead the shop improvements via employee suggestion program, minimum 4 suggestions per year. -Actively participate in plant's safety / quality initiative (First Aid, Fire Squad etc.) -Monitor machining parameter and feedback to programmer if necessary -Perform dimension inspection -Perform fixture, tool and part set up -Report all daily activities via MII Systems -Wearing required PPE while doing the work -Comply to all HSSE requirement Required Skills/Competencies: -Able to Interpret CNC program -Competent in operating special tooling like ES bar, ITS tooling. -Competent in machine critical features like seat pocket, ring groove. -Competent in machine tight tolerance part up to 0.0005'
- . -Competent in machine stringent machined surface up to RMS 8. -Excellent problem-solving skills to solve day-to-day shop issues. -Sound knowledge in value stream concept. -Experienced in machining process improvement. -Experienced in Kaizen's event participation. -Experienced in lead time and product cost reduction initiative. -Ability to design and implemented new fixtures, jigs. -Stand in leader when supervisor is not around. -High flexibility to learn & perform duties on other competencies when necessary (welding, assembly etc.) -Ability to coach, provide mentorship and guide newcomers -Experience in operating electric pallet truck and forklift driving -Ability to liaise with Third Party Inspectors/Customer Site Reps -Good command in written and spoken English -Computer literate: Autocad, CAM software
