**About the Company**:
APPLIED AGRICULTURAL RESOURCES Sdn. Bhd. was established in 1986 and is an associate company of two highly successful public-listed Malaysian companies, Boustead Plantations Berhad and Kuala Lumpur Kepong Berhad. As a leading research centre in tropical plantation crops, our core activities involve research in crop improvement and production, providing advisory services for plantation crops, and producing and selling oil palm tissue culture ramets and seeds.

**About the Research Unit**:
The Pests and Diseases Unit at AAR is dedicated to carrying our research and development (R&D) initiatives, and also providing advisory on Pests and Diseases to our principals. The R&D outputs will be intergrated into the existing Good Agricultural Practices (GAP). The unit is performining R&D works related to some of the major pests and diseases related to oil palm and rubber, namely leaf eating caterpillars (LEC), rhinoceros beetles (RB), termites, Ganoderma, and a few other oil palm diseases. Furthermore, the unit also works on beneficial insects, namely pollinating weevils, predators, parasitoids, and other beneficial insects.

**Your Role**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the collection of plant, root, soil, rodent, and insect samples, as well as in setting up trials.
- Support in disease census activities, vegetative growth measurements, record and compile data accurately.
- Travel extensively within Peninsular Malaysia and Sabah to conduct disease censuses.
- Work closely with the research assistant to carry out all assigned tasks.

**Qualifications**:

- Good command of spoken and written Bahasa Malaysia and English.
- Possess strong result-oriented and problem solving skills, and also willing to go extra mile.
- Able to use microsoft words, excel, and power point.

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM1,800.00 per month
