Technician

Responsible for operating, monitoring, building contents and the general repair and maintenance work on all Mechanical & Electrical services, plant equipment and building content services which includes carpentry, panting, carpeting, plumbing, etc. SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 1. To carry out maintenance work on electrical, air-conditioning equipment, refrigerating equipment, ventilation system and mechanical equipment, pump system etc. 2. Perform preventive maintenance work as per schedule on electrical, air-conditioning, refrigerating equipment, ventilation system and mechanical equipment. 3. Attend to emergency breakdown of electrical, air-conditioning, refrigerating equipment, ventilation system and mechanical equipment immediately upon receipt of information prior to maintenance work order. 4. To carry out routine and non-routine inspection on electrical, air-conditioning, refrigerating equipment, ventilation system, water tank, pumps and mechanical equipment etc. 5. Carries out maintenance work for repair of electrical, air-conditioning, fridge, oven, cooker-hood, heat machine, plumbing and sanitation, fire protection and other. 6. Attend to in house guest complaint on in room equipment and services according to standard set and record in the shift log book and update in the computer. 7. Maintain inventory control for cost effective operation. 8. Coordinate special project as directed by manager/ supervisor 9. Assist in monitoring all work being performed by outsource contractors 10. Carry walkie-talkie as required for on call maintenance. 11. Monitor and maintain all building system as assigned. 12. Perform duties on daily programs as selected on upkeep of building furnishing and all related work on all building furnishing. (PMM) 13. Immediately attends to emergency breakdown of air-conditioning, water-leakage, electrical black-out and sanitary blockage. 14. Responsible for Preventive Maintenance on the M&E system, masonry, and other supporting facilities. 15. To assist in the set up for function which include lighting, pa system, audio visual system. 16. Ensure safety standard and guidelines are followed at all time when executing your daily assignment. 17. Special projects and other responsibilities as and when required and assigned. 18. Strictly follow in house EHS policy at all time. [ Environmental, health and safety policy ] 19. Participating in in-house Fire Drill and testing. [ ERT ] 20. To be fully involves in energy management, e.g. running the chiller plant based on actual load requirement, “Off” unnecessary lighting, check timer, VSD etc. 21. Record, monitor and computing electrical, water reading on each shift. 22. Carry out emergency repair on breakdown of building services in the absence of Supervisor. 23. Routine inspection on all essential installation in the building and record in shift log book on every shift. 24. Ensure the cleanliness of all plant room, workshop, office are clean before handing over to the next shift. 25. Technician is required to work 3 rotating shifts as and when stated in the Engineering Duty Roster regardless of any changes made by the company hereafter. 26. In an emergency after 12 midnight, technician may be recalled to attend to breakdown if required. Technician is required to respond to call at all time. 27. Any outstanding job must be reported to the supervisor in charged and recorded in the daily log book for follow up. [ during handing over of shift ].
