- Summary

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform credit assessment on manually approved financing to assess credit worthiness of customer.
- Assist Financing Operations Lead in developing and maintaining internal credit risk policy, strategy and end-to-end credit risk value chain and other infrastructure to ensure effective credit risk management within CDX from the experience gain through the manual credit assessment process.
- Assist in ensuring timely review of credit/ product programs and monitor underwriting standards to ensure robust credit risk assessment. Able to anticipate impacts of credit decisions in risk appetite.
- Assist business unit goals through continuous identification of process improvements and efficiencies that reduce costs and improve customer service levels.
- Maintain solid understanding of Bank Islam’s products and services - within CDX and the broader organization.
- Ensure on-going compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Facilitate preparation of reports to communicate the level of compliance within CDX
- Provide assistance to internal and external auditor/compliance team as well as Regulators on credit risk related matters

Qualification
- Possess a recognized degree preferably in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business.

Years of Experience
- 3 years

Specific Skills/Knowledge and Certification Required
- Preferably at least 3 years of related working experience and exposure in retail/ business banking in the financial services sector.
- Good credit and analytical skills in Consumer and Micro SME Banking. Previous experience in credit evaluation would be an added advantage.
- Certified qualifications in risk management especially credit risk would be an added advantage.
- Good communication, writing, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Assertive and innovative team player, highly independent, committed, self-motivated, resourceful and result oriented.
- Ability to multi-task, highly numerate with great attention to detail.
- Comfortable working with tight deadlines and able to utilize sound judgement.
- Able to thrive when there is ambiguity.
