Companion Caregiver

**Freelance Caregiver - Weekday Assignment**
**Working Hours**: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am - 7:00 pm
**Work Location**: Within residential area (exact location shared upon placement)

We are recruiting a freelance caregiver to provide hands-on support to individuals who need daily assistance at home. This role involves a combination of personal care, emotional support, light household duties, and basic health monitoring.

**Job Scope**:

- **Daily Living Assistance**:

- Support clients with bathing, grooming, toileting, and dressing
- Assist with mobility including walking, bed-to-chair transfers, and wheelchair use
- Help with meals and feeding when needed
- **Medication Reminders & Health Checks**:

- Ensure clients take medications as scheduled
- Record and monitor basic health metrics (BP, pulse, temperature, etc.)
- Report any health concerns or unusual changes
- **Meal Preparation & Hydration**:

- Prepare or reheat simple, nutritious meals based on dietary needs
- Assist with feeding where necessary
- Monitor fluid intake to ensure hydration
- **Home Environment Care**:

- Manage light cleaning related to client needs (laundry, tidying, linens)
- Maintain a clean and safe space around the client
- **Social & Emotional Support**:

- Engage the client in conversation and basic recreational activities
- Provide companionship and emotional encouragement
- Assist with light outdoor walks or mental stimulation exercises
- **Medical Visits & Mobility Help**:

- Accompany clients to clinics or hospitals
- Support with transport arrangements and in/outdoor mobility
- Help communicate health concerns to medical personnel
- **Special Care (If Trained/Experienced)**:

- Care for dementia, stroke, or bedridden clients
- Handle wound dressing, tube feeding, suctioning (if qualified)
- Overnight care including repositioning and fall prevention
- **Care Reporting & Family Communication**:

- Update on the client’s daily routine and condition
- Maintain accurate logs of caregiving activities
- Alert family or supervisor in emergencies
- Experience in elderly care, home nursing, or personal caregiving
- Physically fit for patient handling and transfers
- Reliable, observant, and compassionate
- Good communication skills, able to work independently
- Caregivers with specialised training will be prioritised for specific needs

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
