Agronomist Assistant

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Give technical support, such as training, field trial assistance and technical demonstrations to research staff in all aspects of agronomy.
- Manage and verify all data and field estate information related to oil palm activities and forestry trials into centralized agronomy database with accuracy and timeliness.
- Formulate site specific fertilizer recommendations to the estates.
- Communicate with the research community to keep abreast of new developments and learn of the latest methods for controlling disease, weeds, insects etc. to update skills and knowledge.
- Participates in devising new methodology, technology transfer and training activities.
- Compiles experimental and analytical data. Prepare scientific reports, summarize the results and their interpretation on research & trials finding.
- Coordinate with estates to collect soil and foliar samples for analysis to determine crop nutrient requirements and match fertility programs with those needs.

**Requirements**:

- Good analytical skills, self-motivated, committed with good interpersonal, dynamic, ability to work independently and deal with problems decisively.
- Preferably with experience in experimental design, field test plot management, statistics, and data interpretation.
- Computer literate and possess good command of English.
- Preferably with practical research/working experience.
- Self-motivator, initiative, self-discipline with the ability to work independently or as a part of a team and able to deliver satisfactory work under limited supervision.
- Multi-tasking and ability to prioritize workload.
- Detail and accuracy orientation with an ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Applicants must be willing to be based in Kota Tinggi - Mersing, Johor and to be relocated.

**Salary**: RM1,800.00 - RM2,800.00 per month
