**Job Summary**

We are looking for a skilled and passionate Wok Chef to join our team at Sunway Resort Hotel. As a Wok Chef in our Chinese Banquet team, you will play a vital role in preparing and cooking high-quality Chinese dishes for banquet events and hotel outlets. You will work closely with the Supervisor to ensure the smooth running of kitchen operations while maintaining top food quality, hygiene, and safety standards. The role requires leadership, creativity, and the ability to train and mentor junior staff.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Supervise and prepare Chinese banquet dishes, ensuring consistency and high standards in the wok section.
- Adhere to hotel policies, FSMS, and HALAL food safety standards.
- Coordinate mise-en-place and reduce food wastage during events.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper handling of kitchen equipment and work areas.
- Ensure equipment is well-maintained and report defects to the Engineering Department.
- Lead and train junior staff, promoting safe working practices and a positive kitchen environment.
- Participate in required training sessions and maintain high professional standards.
- Adapt to changes in hotel operations and carry out tasks as assigned by management.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Wok Chef or in a similar role in a high-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong knowledge of Chinese cuisine, especially in banquet settings.
- Ability to adhere to food safety, hygiene, and HALAL standards.
- Excellent leadership and teamwork skills.
- Positive, adaptable, and willing to learn.
