_**Key Responsibilities**:_
1. **Product Development**:
l Develop new recipes and formulations based on market trends, customer feedback, or business needs.
l Conduct product trials and sensory evaluations to refine taste, texture, shelf life, and nutritional content.
l Collaborate with procurement, production, and marketing teams during product launch phases.
l Prepare technical documentation including ingredient specifications, process flows, and nutritional data.
2. **Quality & Safety Assurance**:
l Ensure that products comply with food safety and quality standards (HACCP, GMP, ISO, etc.).
l Monitor critical control points and support troubleshooting of quality-related issues in production.
l Conduct shelf-life studies and risk assessments on new or reformulated products.
l Liaise with regulatory authorities for product approval, labeling, and certification compliance.
3. **Process Optimization**:
l Evaluate and improve production processes for efficiency, consistency, and cost-effectiveness.
l Assist with commissioning of new equipment and development of manufacturing SOPs.
l Maintain and update technical records, reports, and quality manuals.
- **Requirements**:_
l Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Engineering, or related field.
l 2+ years of experience in a similar role within the food manufacturing or processing industry.
l Strong knowledge of food regulations, food safety management systems, and labelling standards.
l Familiarity with lab equipment, sensory evaluation, and raw material functionality.
l Strong problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
l Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP or food R&D software is a plus.
l Based in a food manufacturing facility and/or R&D laboratory.
**Preferred Certifications (**_**Not Mandatory**_**)**:
l HACCP certification
l ISO 22000 / FSSC 22000 training
l Allergen control and food labeling compliance
