Sports Coordinator

**Job Summary**

To ensure smooth operation of the sports at all times through effective communication and co-operation between colleagues. Ensure that the guests’ needs and care are well taken care of. Maintain the established standard effectively, consistently and uniformly. Responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of the swimming pool, its surrounding area as well as all pool equipment and outdoor swimming pool furniture. Responsible for administering proper life-saving procedures in cases of emergencies in and around the swimming pool.

**Specific of the Job**
- Receiving phone calls and making sure all operations are running smoothly.
- Ensure all guests are greeted and treated with care
- Switch on gym equipment.
- Check that all sports and recreation facilities are clean and free of smell.
- Ensure that stocks e.g. towels, laundry bags, registration form, cone cups and other supplies are readily available.
- Attends to inquiries and reservations for sports and recreation facilities for adults and children.
- Rearrange/re-stack equipment into their proper racks, places after use
- Clean tennis court and swimming pool surrounds.
- Provide assistance to members/guests on the correct use of equipment.
- Conduct abdominal, hip and thigh classes according to schedule.
- Conducts swimming lessons, fitness testing, aerobics classes, etc. if required.
- Complete the daily usage log book.
- Reports anything that is out of order.
- Prepare reports on special incidents, problems or complaints that occur.
- Switch off all electrical equipment, fittings and lock doors at the end of the day.
- Input into improved Sports Centre operations.
- Provide information, confirmations and suggestions.
- Assist in all events organized by the Sports Centre or which involve the Sports Centre.
- Any other duties that may be assigned by the Recreation Manager from time to time.
