Job Title - **Developer** Reporting To - **Section Head** Department - **Delivery & Ops Digital Banking - Group Technology** Job Purpose Key Accountabilities & Outcomes - **Solution Design and Analysis**: Develop integration and configuration solutions. - **Database Management**: Perform design, configuration, migration, and tuning. - **Technical Specifications**: Translate functional requirements into technical specifications. - **Issue Resolution**: Investigate and resolve technical and integration issues. - **Defect Fixing**: Address errors arising during software upgrades and enhancements. - **Escalation**: Promptly escalate issues to the Development Lead. Education, Experience, Certifications, and SkillsEducation - **Bachelor's/Master's Degree** in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplines. Experience - **Software Developer**: 3-5 years - **Senior Software Developer**: 3-5 years - **Technical Lead**: > 10 years Certifications - Preferred certifications in backend programming. Functional Skills - Collaboration with project team members. - Issue escalation related to solutions, configurations, and project implementations. - Understanding of SDLC and Agile processes. Technical Skills - Proficient in Java and Spring Boot, including Collections, Threading, Core Java, MVC, Struts, Spring Rest, Spring WS, Servlets, JSP, Java Beans, and Log4J. - Knowledge of API gateway services (e.g., Zuul). - Experience with unit testing frameworks (JUnit). - Database and ORM knowledge (Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL, Hibernate, JPA). - Familiarity with build tools (Maven, Jenkins). - Experience with deployment environments (JBoss, Tomcat, OpenJDK containers). - Proficiency in object-oriented programming. - SCM and CI/CD experience (Git, Git Actions). - Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). - Automated testing skills. - Linux/Unix experience (shell scripting and basic administration). - Database design experience with both relational and non-relational databases.
