Plating Manufacturing Supervisor

**About our group**:
Johor Bahru Substrate (JBS) Plate Operation is a high technology, chemical-mechanical process responsible for the deposition of Nickel Phosphorus on the Aluminum substrate memory disk in Seagate’s hard drives. We have a 120-odd team of operators, technician and engineers running this operation that generates around 100Kpcs of high-quality disk daily. Our team is focused on producing best in class quality disk, at the lowest cost, in the safest manner while maintain the highest level of motivation and integrity. **About the role - you will**:
Handle the essential functions which include, but are not limited to the following:

- Ability to plan and understand the production schedule and ensure that the schedule is followed
- Responsible for ensuring the inventory management system and tools is being utilized correctly, optimally and accurately
- Manage a team of 20-odd operators that covers the following:

- Ensuring effective employee relations; providing employee coaching and development; resolving employee issues through problem resolution
- Managing their attendance,tardiness,scheduling,task,over time etc
- Ensuring they are adequately and timely trained for the job/task
- Discipline and coach according to company policies and document
- Balancing quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas Managing departmental performance measures,

and providing regular progress reports
- Monitor systematic key performance indicators (KPI s) and help with continuous improvement on said findings
- Record output and other production metric and send updated report throughout the day and end of shift
- Maintain production floor and employees to always be audit ready
- Performing all other duties as assigned

**About you**:

- Demonstrated ability to lead people and obtain results through others
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills with good team-building skills
- Ability to think ahead, analyse production data and prepare action plans to achieve results
- Quality orientation and attention to detail
- Able to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure
- Wiling and able to work in 12-hourly day and night shift pattern
- A Diploma holder with at least 1 to 3 years of supervisory working experience in a Manufacturing environment. Suitable applicants with less than 3 years supervisory working experience may be considered for a junior supervisory level role.
- Fresh graduates with Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial or any other engineering/technical/scientific fields are welcomed to apply

**Your experience includes**:

- Planning and understanding the production schedule and ensuring that the schedule is complied
- People management and leadership of a production/operations team
- Supervisory hands-on background in the following industries will be of added benefit:

- Memory Disk
- Semiconductor
- Chemical blending or production facility
- Automation
