**About this role**
The technician will provide services and support in GIS modelling for transport, APD and BIM team in Malaysia. The Digital Engineering team within the Australasia region provides digital engineering solutions development and support for Arup design teams requiring plugins to BIM, CAD, and GIS platforms. Application of 3D games engine technology to engineering visualization and custom software solutions delivered to clients as part of Arup projects. You will support in delivering solutions in all areas that the team is involved with. The Digital engineering team in Malaysia is currently growing in response to increasing use of digital technologies to provide innovation on Arup projects. As a technician, you will support the team and develop key knowledge and skills that will allow you to provide a high quality of consultant services. This may take the form of undertaking relevant design and presentation work to assist the transport and APD teams covering both project delivery and bids. There will be a structured career plan and development program to assist you in attaining the desired level of knowledge and skills.

**What will I do?**
- Be Involved in various activities related to delivering digital solutions as part of the Digital engineering team
- Assist in data preparation, Data compilation from site survey data, architectural plan, aerial images, historical map and textual data
- Assist in Data conversion from CAD or BIM data into GIS format, data entry into GIS database and validation
- Map production using ArcGIS software
- Work closely with project teams in Malaysia and within the region to develop and support project specific solutions

**What will I bring?**
- Diploma or above in GIS, Engineering, Science, Geography, Computer Science or equivalent
- Basic understanding in using GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS, FME etc.)
- Proficient in using MS Office
- Experience in using 3D CAD/BIM software (e.g., MicroStation, AutoCAD, Revit, 3DMax, SketchUp, Rhino, Dynamo) will be advantage
- Experience in data analytics tools, (e.g., Power BI, Power Query, Tableau, etc) will be advantage
