**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Conceptualize, design, and execute original digital illustrations and colourings **appropriate for children**, based on project briefs and creative direction.
- Create artwork for diverse outputs including **educational materials (school workbooks, textbooks), children's picture books, comics aimed at young readers,** and related digital content **designed for child engagement.**:

- Adapt artistic style as needed, demonstrating proficiency in various techniques (e.g., 2D, basic 3D concepts, two-tone, manga/anime, picture book styles) suitable for children's content.
- Proficiently use digital illustration tools, including drawing tablets, and software like Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator.
- Stay updated with and integrate the latest illustration techniques, tools, and technologies, including exploring the potential of AI tools ethically and effectively as an aid within the creative workflow.
- Collaborate closely with writers, editors, designers, and other team members to ensure illustrations align with content and project goals, maintaining appropriateness for the intended child audience.
- Manage project timelines effectively, delivering high-quality work on schedule.
- Maintain awareness of current trends in design, illustration, children's media, comics, and related fields.
- **Ensure all artwork is suitable, appealing, and engaging for the specific target age group of children.**:

- Contribute to visual narrative and storytelling development (highly advantageous).

**Required Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a Digital Illustrator or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing versatility and relevant work (**especially examples of children's illustration**, educational content, comics, character design, etc.).
- Expert proficiency in digital illustration software, particularly Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Skilled in using digital drawing tablets (e.g., Wacom).
- Excellent understanding of composition, colour theory, visual storytelling, and anatomy/perspective - applied effectively for children's content.
- Ability to adapt to and replicate various illustration styles accurately and efficiently, suitable for a young audience.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Competency in both Bahasa Melayu and English (written and spoken).
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with current design, illustration, comics, and pop culture trends, particularly within children's media.
- Must be able to work in Kuala Lumpur office.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience or familiarity with 3D illustration or modeling software.
- Experience or familiarity with using AI tools as an assistive part of the digital illustration process.
- Proven ability to contribute to narrative development or storyboarding for children's stories.
- Formal qualification (Diploma/Degree) in Fine Arts, Illustration, Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, or a related field.
