Store Keeper

A storekeeper's job description includes a variety of tasks, such as:

- **Inventory management**: Maintaining inventory levels, ensuring stock is organized, and recording transactions
- **Receiving and checking shipments**: Inspecting new shipments for quality and accuracy
- **Stocking shelves**: Tagging supplies, stocking shelves, and delivering supplies
- **Customer service**: Assisting customers with purchases and processing sales transactions
- **Store maintenance**: Keeping the store clean and tidy, organizing displays, and removing clutter
- **Safety and security**: Ensuring hazardous materials are stored safely
- **Collaboration**: Working with other team members to ensure the store runs smoothly
- **Record keeping**: Maintaining accurate records of sales and transactions

Storekeepers may also be responsible for:

- Preparing specifications
- Locating supplies
- Issuing supplies
- Performing physical inventory
- Determining floor and shelf locations
- Rotating stock
- Coordinating the disposal of surpluses
- Coordinating the handling of freight
- Coordinating the movement of equipment
- Making minor repairs

Storekeepers should have knowledge of modern warehouse procedures, basic stock inventory procedures, and warehouse record keeping systems. They should also be able to understand and carry out oral and written instructions
