Laundry Worker

Laundry Worker / Operator take part in the washing, drying, and ironing of clothes and other fabric items. Work involves a variety of miscellaneous tasks to assure that soiled laundry will be cleaned and returned in a sanitary condition. The working environment is both hot and humid. Laundry jobs tend to be repetitious and require workers to stand for long periods. Skills required : '¢ Responsible for sorting of soiled linen according to fibre, colour, and soiled condition. '¢ Folds, wraps or places on hangers, completed laundry. '¢ Makes minor repairs to items, i.e., replace buttons, mend torn clothes and linens. '¢ Maintains laundry room and equipment in a clean and orderly manner. '¢ To keep production floor is clean and tidiness '¢ Performs related work as required.
