EHS Internship

JOB FUNCTION
Work with Regional EHS Manager to assist in day-to-day activities and EHS program in AME Region including all the initiative / support required from Beckers Global associates. Maintain and enhance Beckers company image, especially on EHS aspects at all times.

CONTRIBUTIONS, ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

** Red.on.Line (ROL - New EHS Software)**:

- To get in-dept understanding EHS Software and to attend weekly follow up meeting with ROL Software Development Team
- Provide support on the development of the software and the implementation for all 4 modules inside the system
- (1) Incident Management - To review the statistic and accuracy of the information inside the system. To ensure the reporting quality for all EHS incidents which been entered inside the system. Produce statistic report to Beckers Leadership Team when appropriate.
- (3) Legal Register - To ensure all sites which been selected to be part in this module (China, France, Sweden and Itay) to complete their national legal register and evaluation process. Formulate the compliance level and establish corrective action plan for all gaps from the compliance evaluation process.
- (4) Risk Assessment - To develop policies and procedures based on the process flow of ROL Risk Assessment Module. Help the sites to formulate their Risk Assessment study based on their business / manufacturing activities.
- Conduct / organize the awareness training for site EHS staff related to ROL
- Promote the use of EHS Software / Mobile Apps ultimately create a better safety culture in Beckers.

 EHS Program Initiatives (AME Region & Global) - to support EHS Regional Manager on the development, planning, implementation, tracking the progress and effectiveness evaluation for all below initiatives.

- BLPS Self-Assessment
- EHS Compliance Audit (China)
- EHS Culture Change RoadMap

 Support the roles and responsibilities seriously and instil a positive EHS culture.

REQUIREMENT
Currently pursuing Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, safety, engineering, environment or equivalent; fluency in English and major language of region. Basic understanding of EHS principles and good learning ability for on-job training. Computer knowledge especially in Microsoft Office is essential. Innovative and original thinking requiring analytical, interpretive, evaluative, and/or constructive skills to develop creative solutions. Ability to interpret regulations/policy to provide specific guidance to multiple department and functions. Ability to operate in variety of different cultural settings.
