**Position Summary**:
The VIP Host role is responsible for hosting VIP Expeditions programs, Miniland Guided Tour or any other personalize tour and to assist in the day-to-day Admission and Education operations. You will have the ability to communicate, interact and assist the guest courteously and with integrity. You will exude an infectious passion for delivering world-class memorable experiences.
You will have the ability to communicate, interact and support your team members and superior in the department by exhibiting your best practices that aligned with the Merlin core values. You will also be required to exemplify your best behaviour and work well with other team members in the department/organization and to carry out assignments that are delegated by your superior in a timely manner.
**Scope and Responsibilities**:
- Host VIP programs under VIP Expedition.
- Ensure all the arrangement and preparation prior to the guests’ arrival by liaising with respective departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure guests’ needs and requests are well taken care and accommodated.
- Host VIP tour for corporate guests as when required by the Management.
- Host Miniland Tour for LEGO DNA exposure and awareness.
- Participate in LEGO activities and LEGO programs in the park including LEGO Facilities - LEGO Academy, Mindstorms and VIP programs.
- To support Education team by facilitate and teaching educational and robotics program, encourages guest participation in the Imagination Zone and participate in Eduplay Road shows.
- To liaise with teachers and LLM Educational Sales personnel on the reservation made.
- Have good Park, Hotel and LEGO product knowledge to deliver the experiences and services.
- Work closely with Admissions and Education Team for VIP programs and Educational activities bookings.
- Follows departmental, safety and chemical - handling procedures at all times (Which include rides procedures & its safety measures).
- To have a structured, creativity mind and constant involvement for improvisation work on all the personalize programmes / tasks being assign.
- Establishes immediate rapport and communicates well with children, parents and teachers.
- Supporting Admission at turnstiles, guest services, parking, ticketing counters and etc as assigned by Admission Supervisors on duty. VIP Host is require to have floats in hand (if necessary) and maintaining good standard as the position of Admission Assistant while on duty at respective areas in Admission.
- Performs related work as deemed necessary or required.
**SAFETY, HEALTH & ENVIRONMENT RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Employees are responsible for all aspects of Health, Safety & Security within their team, in line with the Group Policy (HS001).
- Employees must ensure that risk assessments have been carried out, that safe working procedures are in place for all work activities and that the employees in their team are aware of the Group Health, Safety and Security Policy and their obligations under it.
- Employees must ensure that safe working practices are monitored and risk assessments and procedures are reviewed regularly.
- Where incidents do occur, they must ensure that they are investigated appropriately and that where necessary, corrective action is taken to ensure that such incidents are not repeated.
**Background and Experience**:
- Minimum more than 1 year experience in guest service with excellent customer skills.
- English language proficiency in writing and speaking.
- Ability to speak in Mandarin language is an added advantage.
- Adventurous and able to execute multi task and programs.
- Self-motivated and willing to learn and explore.
- Experienced in problem solving, ability to multi task and have a flexible, calm and effective response to conflicts or difficult interpersonal situations.
- Take ownership to provide an outstanding guest service.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Requires the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Willing to work flexible hours, to support the operations.
- Experience in LEGO Building.
- Presentation and touring skills.
**Education**:
SPM Leavers, graduates of high school or other equivalent level of education.
**Physical Demands**:
- Ability to sit for sustained periods of time to attend on-site and off-site meetings, perform paperwork activities, travel and drive.
- Intermittent and prolonged standing and walking to move about the park site, and interact with employees.
- Ability to climb stairs to gain access to upper level of buildings.
- Finger dexterity sufficient to complete paperwork activities and to use a computer.
- Visual acuity sufficient to read written materials, to complete paperwork activities, and to drive.
- Hearing sufficient to communicate with individuals in person and by telephone.
**Work Environment**:
Various inside and outside locations with varying temperatures and floor surfaces.
