As a Retail Baby Shop Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the satisfaction and convenience of our customers as they shop for their little ones. You will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining store organization, and assisting with various day-to-day operations of the store.

**Responsibilities**:
**Customer Service**: Greet customers warmly, offer assistance, and answer their inquiries. Provide product information, advice, and recommendations to help customers make informed decisions.

**Sales**: Assist customers in selecting and purchasing baby products, including clothing, toys, strollers, cribs, and other baby essentials. Upsell and cross-sell products when appropriate.

**Inventory Management**: Monitor and restock merchandise on the sales floor. Keep track of inventory levels and notify management when items are running low.

**Store Maintenance**: Ensure the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing. Create attractive product displays and restock shelves as needed.

**Cash Handling**: Operate the cash register, process transactions accurately, and handle cash and card payments. Issue receipts and manage returns or exchanges.

**Product Knowledge**: Stay informed about the latest baby products, trends, and safety guidelines to provide accurate information to customers.

**Assist with Deliveries**: Receive and inspect deliveries, and ensure that products are stored safely and appropriately.

**Team Collaboration**: Work closely with other store staff to create a harmonious and efficient work environment. Support colleagues during peak shopping hours.

**Loss Prevention**: Monitor for any suspicious activities, prevent shoplifting, and follow store security procedures.

**Compliance**: Adhere to store policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of baby products and child safety considerations preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic math skills for cash handling.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderately heavy items.
- A passion for helping parents and caregivers find the best products for their children.
