Why does this job exist and why is it critical?
What are you accountable for?
- Provide technical solution consultancy and bid management support for Managed Network and Converged Solutions to internal Government Sales team and External Government/Public Sector Customers leveraging Maxis Standard Product Offerings and Bespoke Solutions as and when required
- Responsible to develop comprehensive Unsolicited Proposals, Tender, RFP, RFQ and RFI’s responses by incorporating the right solutions and cost matching customer’s requirements and outcomes
- To collaborate closely with Sales, Subject Matter Experts, Products, Engineering and Vendors on developing the right strategy to win
- Provide technical solution consultancy to Sales team and External Customers on regular basis through calls, meetings, discussions and presentations
- Put together the right sizing of Costing/Bill of Materials of the solution proposed
- Working closely with Project Management Office pre and post sales to develop the scope of work and overall delivery requirements
- Provide feedback and intelligence on regular basis to Product team on the marketplace landscape and competitors’ offering in order for Product team to develop new products that is ahead of competition.
What do you need to have for this role?
- Bachelor Degree in Networking/Telecommunications or IT related fields.
- Cisco's CCNA equivalent or higher certifications
- Ability to provide technical leadership in the customer and internal engagements
- Knowledge in Telco Fixed Connectivity and ICT solutions is a must. Knowledge about Cloud and Security is added advantage
- Strong knowledge and experience in pricing and quotation development
- 8-10 years of experience in technical pre-sales and majority of that time selling into Government/Public Sector vertical
- Excellent writing and presentation skills in Bahasa Melayu and English
